About StockingMap
StockingMap is a reference for anglers: fish stocking schedules and reports for all fifty states, a national map of stocked waters, live water levels and temperatures where a gauge reports them, the state record book, and a page for every water the trucks visit. It exists to answer one question well: where should I fish this week?
The data comes from the state fish and wildlife agencies' own publications. Schedules change without notice, sometimes the morning of the stocking, so check the agency's page before a long drive. Seasons, regulations, and license requirements are the agency's department, not ours. This site is not affiliated with any state agency.
Fish illustrations are public-domain paintings, most by Duane Raver
and Timothy Knepp from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's National
Digital Library, with older plates by Sherman F. Denton, by Ellen
Edmonson and Hugh Chrisp for New York State, by A. Hoen and Co. for
the 1907 Fishes of Alaska, and from Pieter Bleeker's 1871 atlas of
Chinese fishes.
